When to Write
- Metadata errors – an incorrect author name, title, or publication date; a missing or misleading category; or a work that appears under the wrong series. For example, if you notice that Canada in Flanders, Volume III is listed under a category that does not match its content, please let us know.
- Source link or catalogue issues — If a Project Gutenberg source link is unavailable, or if a catalogue page contains a broken link or display problem, please send us the ebook title, the catalogue page URL, and a short description of the issue.
- Accessibility concerns – insufficient alt text for images, poor contrast, or other barriers that make the ebook difficult to use with assistive technology. We strive to make our catalogue inclusive, and your feedback helps us identify areas for improvement.
- Copyright or rights questions – if you believe a title may not be in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights and wish to discuss a listing. Please note that public domain status varies by country; we rely on our editorial judgment and encourage you to share any relevant information.
- General editorial observations – suggestions for additional context, improved reading notes, or better organisation within categories such as Revolutions or World Events. What to Include
To help us investigate efficiently, please provide as many of the following details as possible:
- The exact page URL where the issue appears.
- The full title of the ebook (e.g., Yashka — Story, Setting & Ideas or With Lawrence in Arabia — Story, Setting & Ideas).
- If relevant, the Project Gutenberg source link associated with the ebook.
- The device or browser and its version (e.g., Firefox 115 on Windows 11, or Kindle Paperwhite 11th generation).
- A clear description of the problem, including any error messages or unexpected behaviour.
- If the matter involves copyright or rights, any supporting information you can share (jurisdiction, your relationship to the work, etc.).
Including these details allows us to replicate the issue and address it more effectively. For file-related problems, screenshots or a brief description of the steps that led to the error can be particularly helpful.

For file issues, we test the file and, if needed, replace it with a corrected version. Accessibility concerns are assessed and addressed where possible, and we may reach out for additional details. Copyright queries are handled on a case-by-case basis, and we may remove a title from the catalogue if the concern is valid. General suggestions are considered for future updates to the site.
